Our most challenging and our quickest project to date that we lived in. We found our first foreclosure and it needed an entire gut. John took the year off from teaching to tackle this home. He spent days and nights working hard. We focused on the kids’ bathroom first so we would have at least one working bathroom, and then we started on the kitchen. For the first time, we opted for luxury vinyl flooring and also installed marble countertops. The results were stunning! We moved in before Thanksgiving and were out before summertime. The upstairs playroom was one of my favorite spots for the kids.
